What are your favorite Pretenders songs?
I enjoy most of their stuff, they did go through some rough years but all in all I really respect The Pretenders, they rock.
"Back on the Chaingang", "Brass in Pocket", "Thin Line Between Love and Hate"...

16. She is a very strong person and a great performer.
She has written many really good songs about some really bad situations but found the will and the way to play on through it all.
I love her too.

"Back on the Chain Gang" and "Brass in Pocket" are a first-rate songs...

22. In 1970 I was drumming in the Milwaukee band "Clockwork Orange"
our bass player was shot and killed and our guitarist shot and wounded in what was ruled to be a "death by misadventure", I still play but suffered the realization that some people really can't be trusted and that our opinions may be wrong.

26. It's way different today.
Plus I was out of the loop when it came to the activities that led to the shooting but the repercussions were still there.
Hell, I've been shot at 7 times as an American citizen myself for a variety of reasons, I've been fighting fascists for all my political life-which began at 15, and I'm a musician as well as my wife, she's the bass player of today!

We go by the name of "The Books Banned".

and a dozen or two others. As Tommy Gallagher said, "Chrissie sweated on me!" (Chestnut Cabaret, Philly, night before Live Aid, warmup show after two-year layoff for making babies)
