Why My Cat Would Be the Ideal President
(And from what I've read, DU'ers have felines with similar qualifications).

1. Gender: She's a female and it's time for a female president.

2. She'll get things done: Believe me, when she has an agenda, no one rests until it is accomplished.

3. Decent living conditions for all; She went from being stranded at the county pet services to being taken in by a purebred rescue organization. Yes, even with her dubious lineage and irascible temperament, she managed to howl 24/7 until county services gave up and BEGGED them to rescue her. And yes, from those temporary, cushy digs, she (and her unborn kitties - surprise!) have all landed permanent housing. Why even the organization's owner willingly drove 2 hours to deliver this fractious momma kitty to her new permanent residence. This cat knows how to fight for the downtrodden!

4. Health care: She has proven over and over again that even those with no income can receive excellent medical treatment.

5. Hunger: Once again she has demonstrated how even the poorest, rejected, being can partake of the highest quality diet.

6. No more war: She scares the bejeezus out of her enemies, but won't hurt them.

7. Social Security: No problem keeping that program going.

Any competition??
