3. It's a Taurus...
station wagon. Not a lot of rust, but it needs a tuneup and an oil change.

I have a '99 station wagon. It's my second Taurus. I wouldn't buy any other car.

9. I was getting concerned...
...Friday morning, it's gonna be just me here in the house (well me and the dog, that is...) I can get to work reasonably well but at night I'd have to either walk (8 miles) or get a cab. Now I can drive, which will help out bunches. :hi::hug:

Just a nondescript - generic car.

24. Yeah, I spent the first five years of my 'adult' life without a car...
in a city with a huge urban sprawl problem and crap public transit.
I was stuck living in an extremely crappy apartment complex because it was the only one I could afford that was within walking distance of both work and school. The minute I got my first car I started making plans to move. :)

Not only did I once have a '75 Plymouth Valiant that I paid $400 for and it ran great, I could move and put all my possessions I owned at that time in it.

23. My approximate inventory was...
Four or five changes of clothes, about three towels and wash cloths.

One pot and one frying pan, about two place settings and few utensils

A stereo

A guitar

A comb and tooth brush

Yep...that was about it :hi:

sometimes we take country roads we didn't expect to, got a little lost...but in the long run it was more fun than taking the interstate.

35. Fantastic!! Congratulations!!!
That must feel soooo good!!! :woohoo: :woohoo:

I remember my first car and what a thrill it was to finally get one!! :D

Hey? Don't knock those $800 used cars! They're already broken in!

My son bought a used $700 car a year ago and it has had a few repairs

but it's running like a charm right now! He does need a pipe welded

between the muffler and the whatever but that's pretty cheap to do

- $80.00 and cheaper than a whole new muffler.

Have fun and drive defensively! Look out for the other nuts!
