If I weren't here watching it with my own eyes I probably would not believe it but they are in some terrible media hype loop. Count the number of times the Bryant headline appears in the next 10 minutes. It is like this: Bryant likely to go to trial.....(brief other news note) Bryant likely to go to trial...(brief other news note) Bryant likely to go to trial and it has been going on like this for the past hour STRAIGHT. AND there is nothing about the Indonesia bombing. UNBELIEVEABLE! But htis is the state of American media so it is believable.

2. We have let them get way too powerful.

Average Americans just don't pay attention. Many of us who do are essentially powerless to evoke effective change. There are not enough who care nor is there a voice to channel our outrage.

I don't have an answer to the crisis.
