Why are some morans always looking for a fight?

One possible reason I can think of is that they enjoy fighting because it gives them an adrenalin rush. (Newsflash for these people: Watching scary movies is a better way to do that—not as potentially harmful to your health.)

Any other thoughts?

a very nice person, and I know she explained herself perfectly well before the lady went rude on her.

I agree, some folks just seem to be loaded for bear everywhere they go, and approximately 90% of them are calling some call center somewhere screaming at the poor reps about something that resulted from the caller not taking action in a timely manner. Week before last, my first inbound call every damn day was a ranting raving screamer and every single one of them had an issue that they had known about, failed to take early action on and were now blaming everything in the world except themselves for the outcome.

The recent full moon has resulted in a plethora of escalated calls too. I never escalate a call to team leader, and this week I have had 3 and all of the callers were crazy.

2. I'm sorry you have to work at that kind of job.

Mucho morans like to go off on people at call centers, wait staff, clerks, etc. That is, people who are in a position of less power, and can't fight back.

To me, that is the litmus test of a person's character.
