Woke up this morning to snow on the mountain tops across the lake and just behind us. It could be worse. At least we don't live at San Bernardino (third photo). :scared:

Here's a closer shot of Banded Peak, one of the more prominent ones:



It's near the right on the photo at top. You can't really see that band unless there's snow up there. I used to be able to see it from my bedroom window, then they built houses that got in the way. :( Still, that particular spot is only about a 40 minute drive from my house.

Funny story: in April, my daughter and I went back to Minnesota for a visit and the third day we were there, it snowed 8 inches. My daughter and I were absolutely overjoyed. The fine citizens of Minnesota were way less than amused (the snowstorm was late, even by Minnesota standards).
