knowledge would you be able to answer a question about?

Myself, I would be able to answer almost any question about fireworks/pyrotechnics, most questions about Macintosh computers, the films of Robert Bresson, the writings of Jack Kerouac, the music of George Gershwin, and California geography. My sister has an encyclopedic knowlege of English royalty. Both of my parents were U.S. Marines and could answer almost any question about that.

1. History and the arts....math, you are screwed. Geography I'm pretty good at
but if it has anything to do with numbers ( or sports statistics ) you can forget about calling me...

2. Grammar and other minutiae about the English language.
Also most things about jazz music or music theory, especially jazz history dealing with the '50s or so onwards, most especially of that Miles Davis.

If it's fairly mainstream rock/soul music from the 1960s and '70s, I can in some cases quote artist, title, year released, album, track number. :D I'm hot with classic rock lyrics, too, at least all the radio songs, and some select album tracks from various artists.

I'm sure there's more...

3. Here's a grammar question for you...
When you compare and contrast two things, the result is a comparison and a _________ .
I've never known what the result of contrasting two things is called.

17. Here's another question:
What is the name for this phenomenon? When you meet someone who lives in your neighborhood, then you start seeing them all the time? Or, when you learn a new word, then you start seeing that word a lot?

I would give a smart ass answer that would be obviously wrong. It would not be done with malicious intent because I just cannot help myself. Ask for a lifeline and I'll bring you down, man.

16. Television
from the beginning to about 10 years ago (WAY too many stations and shows to collect mentally, now), English grammar and spelling, some history (preferably British, before Cromwell), science fiction and fantasy literature, software, actors, Star Trek (but of course!), the paranormal, animals....these are the ones from the top of my head. :)

18. I was on a game show back in 1973 and won a
car because of my knowledge of then-current tv shows. Today, that wouldn't be a good category for me as I rarely watch, except for Olbermann. I think I'd do ok with film, American lit, and politics.
