15. Depends. Morning: 9-Navy or Kalihi in decent weather,
2-Kalihi, 13- Liliha, or B-CityExpress! to any Dillingham bus otherwise. Evening: depends if any shopping needs to be done, but basically the reverse of the alternate morning route.

"America's Best Transit System", my foot! Why should I have to walk two extra blocks in the morning just to find a bus that isn't packed like an NYC subway car?! :grr:

17. I WISH! Bus don't go to my job site, sorry. wish it did
Edited on Tue Sep-25-07 10:19 PM by yellowdogintexas
I rode the bus for years when I worked in Nashville. and when I lived in Cambridge, if I couldn't walk to it I rode the bus or subway. The RED LINE, of course.

I still miss that after lo these many years. But would I work in Dallas just so I could ride the train for an hour each way, not just no but HELL NO

My perfect job commute would be of less than 2 miles, not too likely in my current living situation.

So I drive I-35 for about 15 miles.

29. Right now, I walk
When I lived in New Orleans, I took the #100 (Algiers Loop) or #101 (Algiers Owl Loop). To get to school, I'd sometimes use the #55 Elysian Fields bus. My wife took the #15 (Freret) or the St. Charles streetcar to her job in the Garden District.

In law school, I usually commuted on the Razorback Transit red line bus.

When I go into Boston, I usually park at my aunt's house and walk to the Red Line subway at Davis Square or the 101 (Sullivan Sq.-Malden Center) or #89 (Clarendon Hill via Broadway) to the Sullivan Square Orange Line station. Occasionally, I'll just use the park-and-ride lot at Wellington and take the Orange Line from there.

32. When I lived in NYC
N/R at Rector St. uptown to 23rd, then walked a couple of blocks.

When I lived in Jersey City (different job location from above):
PATH from Grove St. to 14th St., then the 14 Bus to 9th Ave./Hudson St.

When I lived in Bayonne:
Light Rail from Bayonne/34th St. to Exchange Place PATH. PATH to WTC. Then A/C/E to 14th where I either walked to Hudson St. or took the bus.

Now, in Wilmington, NC:
I drive, but it's only 5 miles each way.
