I can only imagine. When my dog died almost two years ago, my favorite food tasted like crap for about a week. Sounds cliche, but it was true. The worst part was the sudden-ness. I expected to outlive him, and I can understand a horrible accident, but for him to be seven years old and seemingly perfectly fine on Wednesday and then be dead on Friday was just so WRONG! Not only that, but I had to make the call. $4,000 on surgery and post-op with unknown odds if it will even work. I so wanted to give him a chance too, but I just couldn't. Even now it sounds like a bad choice. The vet told me 'there are no bad choices here'. I told him 'bullsh*t, there are no good choices here.'
