"Crank That" by Soulja Boy: Social experiment

That is my conclusion, that the song is in fact a social experiment. Problem is, I'm not sure what the hypothesis is. What do you think it is?

It proves my long standing theory that radio/club friendly production plus atleast one gimmick give the least talented artists hit singles. In this case the gimmick is his attempt to start a dance trend.

2. My step-son had an album of his before this hit....

I'm a 20+ year connoisseur of hip hop, and I thought it was one of the worst albums I'd ever heard, and that his flow and style were horrible.

This hit is mildly amusing, but lyrically he is inept.
