Jack Hanna gave a lecture/animal show at my university tonight.
The lecture (really more like three short lectures) was interesting, and occasionally tugged at the old heartstrings.

Had a nice selection of small animals, too. A lesser anteater (tamandua), a North American Porcupine and an African Porcupine (the latter was really cool, because it can spread its quills like a peacock's tail feathers), a bushbaby, an African spur-thighed tortoise, a hyacinth macaw, a two-toed sloth, a Great Horned Owl, a kinkajou, a lemur, and several young wild cats: a serval, a caracal, a Canadian lynx, and three bobcats.

Really wish I'd had a camera.

The only large animal was a medium-sized anaconda -- probably about 12 feet. Can't say I blame him for not bringing any other large critters -- an auditorium full of students and people who brought small children is not a good place for a lion, tiger, bear, hyaena, leopard, cougar etc...
