first thing, call you state agency to start unemployment checks. If anyone in the family has a health problem, check with your state about Medicaid. Don't wait until it is an emergency.

Call friends and families to start sending inquiries about where there are job opening.

And don't lose faith. Hold on to each other, keep your hope hight, will matter when he is interviewed.

He's a dj. 16 years experience as a gentleman's club dj, Vegas, Dallas,Kansas, Louisiana, Florida, L.A.; Arizona, and here in NC. He's only 30 years old. Yes, you read that right.

He is one of those people who dosen't really have his life together(ADD, some drinking problems); but when it comes to his profession, he's a fuckin' GENIUS. He's always improving. He can fix the lighting, he knows the pshychological effects of color schemes in a nightclub, he knows how to please almost any customer at any time, and to keep the girls happy. He can do anything he needs to do to fix a computer in record time, and can multi-task like crazy in the booth. His music knowledge extends from the 1950s to the present day, and I mean he KNOWS his stuff. His blues, his Moody Blues, etc. Loves it all, too. Used to be a trumpet player, so the jazz and funk is in his blood.

He is also a nine-year techno dj, turntables and all. He absolutely LOVES to spin. But because he has been concentrating so hard on the other kind of club djing, he has had no time to make a good demo and shop it around to get it picked up. Plus, the gentleman's club gig pays much, much better than a regular club gig would. Tips and all. This past Friday night he made $495.

This industry is funny out here. It would take me a looooooong time to explain why he has a hard time finding a job. Strip club djs around here hold onto their jobs tooth and nail, and will stab you in the back in a heartbeat. It is a continuing problem that neither of us does cocaine. If we did, I swear to dog he'd have six jobs lined up. Know what I mean?

We have to stay in the area because my mother willed me her house. BUT. She was pissed off that I was a stripper, so she put it in a NINE year trust for me, with my uncle as the trustee. I do not recieve full ownership of the house until 2012. So, I can't sell it until then.

So, we're kinda screwed. We also have a three and 1/2 year old, so can't pick up and move really well.

I can send him somewhere out of state to work. But I have no babysitter, and can't really afford one anyway. Both parents are dead,and my uncle and cousins live two hours away, so no help there either. If I did this, I would not see him for weeks. We have a strong relationship, but he would miss most of his son's growing up. I would hate that so very much...

We're doing the best we can. We have a good life, but a complicated one.
