4. Here are a few questions.
Do you have a piano? If so, what kind of piano?

8. I just got a used upright piano
Not sure of the brand because it is painted.

I want to learn to play and I want my daughter to learn as well.

11. And here are a couple more questions.
Does your daughter also want to learn to play, and is she willing to practice? If so, that's wonderful. If not, it's best to wait and see if she changes her mind later.

Have you had the piano tuned? I ask because it's important for your daughter to hear each note at the correct pitch.

Have fun!

12. Two words...
John Thompson.

Those books haven't changed in 50 years.

Fingers curled? Ready, begin!

Here we go...
Up a row...
To a birthday party...

13. Did you attend church as a kid?
If so, you could start with an old hymnal. That's how I relearned piano - playing the German national anthem over and over (The tune, by Hadyn, is also the hymn "Glorious things of you are spoken") I suppose that is up to your teacher though. I hope you have fun with it.
