I'm working on a water polishing system that we've had in storage for several months. Fighting the usual kinds of problems you typically see when you store electronics for a long time (blown fuses, dirty contacts)- nothing that can't be remedied. Come to find out the ballast for the UV lamp is shorted out, and requires replacement. It's nothing unusual, that I can tell; however, the manufacturer wants (drum roll, please) $535.00 for the replacement. So, off to the local electronics stores to see if I can find a suitable alternative.

Oh well- Nice day to be driving!
