Not sure if the rest of the country is being invaded by this tacky new fad, but I found our administrator's humor of another board that I frequent, extremely funny where these stars are concerned...



People in our area are absolutely crazy about these things. Kinda like those stupid concrete geese that people dress up in costumes...is this only in Indiana???:shrug:

Every house, every fucking one, had a star on it. Almost all of them were red. I thought the Soviets conquered it in the 80's.

That letter has to be a fake, but it sure does seem like it's a law.

3. They're aaaaaaaaall over Ohio...and available for sale any any 'craft' show, 'arts' festival

or antique shop (though they are not antiques; they're probably made in China). It used to be the concrete geese, and a few years before that it was the "ladies-bending-over 'mushrooms'". Just another decorating fad with a grain of historical relevance.
