Homemade macaroni and cheese, made with smokey cheddar, sharp cheddar, and a colby-jack blend. A little spice, a little black pepper...and the funny thing is, just as I was putting it into the oven, I turned on Food Network. The show? Throwdown with Bobby Flay - making macaroni and cheese!

I looooove smokey cheddar. I've never used it for mac and cheese before either. I had been planning to use it in a quiche.

12. Surprisingly, no! He actually won.

11. I find any cheese sauce tastes better if you add some onions in the mix before the cheese

and let them simmer in the milk along with whatever spices you added. I'm cheap, so I just use dried onions, but it works.

I also add garlic to just about everything, but that's just me. :) There's never enough garlic for my taste.
