The movie is about a thrill-seeking ego-maniac by the name of Dick Wad Meyers, who chances upon an unsuspecting Senator with good intentions. After schilling for the camera, Meyers gets tasered while trying to wrestle with the cops. Meyers decides to drug the media with his own brand of Kool-Aid and take them along for the ride.
