3...2...1...
Reentry pains.

Coming back from vacation can be difficult. The first thing I noticed when we arrived back on the mainland was the way people in the airport have their Starbucks coffee cups clutched in their little hands, running around as quickly as they can, as if they are in a rat race-- really. They don't even know how ridiculous it is to run over somebody with a suitcase just because you want to be first to stand in line in a jet way.

I come home and my cats won't stop meowing at me. They are mad, I understand. After all, I was gone for 10 days. (sigh)

Then I decide to check my work email. I should have done that while I was on vacation (my inner voice told me to). A very kind man I knew at work passed away on the 13th of September. I want to go back... and leave reality behind. But, I know there is no such thing, anyway.

Maybe I should just go to bed.

:-(

3. Oh c'mon - the cats do that when you are gone for 5 minutes too,
they don't know how long you were gone.

Sometimes coming home can be a real drag, though - I understand that, for sure!

4. 5 hours
now I feel bad for all the pm's, lol.

I know what you mean about the rat race...every time I go home (to the mountains) as soon as I cross over the mountain people's driving starts to get on my nerves, and then I realize it's me...I'm the tense one, and everyone else is so relaxed. Sorry about your friend.

7. Going to bed is a good plan.
Thoughts will percolate while you sleep and you'll wake up with a better idea how to handle all the stuff you've come back to.

I hope you had a good time in Hawaii. I've never been there, and almost certainly never will make it there. :(

8. Hey Thom
Well, I fell asleep for about 10 minutes. Then, the phone rang... yeah, should have disconnected it. Hope you are well. Hawaii was great, as usual. Hope you will get to go, somehow. :hi:
