CONFESS!!!!!! Celebrity Crushes you had when you were a kid!!!!
I can think of 3

Engelbert Humperdick (my mother had an album of his Greatest Hits and I loved "Release Me"

Tony Orlando - My brother and I would fight each week to see who would get to watch either my show (Tony Orlando and Dawn) or his (some goofy war show that wasn't MASH)

and Davy Jones of the Monkees

What celebrity crushes did you have when you were a kid!!!

74. Pierce Brosnan, Robert Redford, Emilio Estevez, Ed Begley Jr....
Pierce Brosnan (actually my husband looks a little like him, kind of a cross between Pierce and Steve Buscemi)

Robert Redford- big 70's intellectual hunk

Emilio Estevez- why him I'm still not sure (too many of those teen movies)- zero appeal now though

Ed Begley Jr.- a little weird, but I remember being very into St. Elsewhere and I liked him

Doug McKeon- the "suck face" kid in On Golden Pond (for some reason, I had my first (ahem) "dream" about him when I was about 12

David Letterman- major crush from age 10 or 11 on

Tim Robbins- still have a crush on him, but since it started when I was 16, I guess it still counts as a childhood crush too

94. Thanks!!
I actually joined a few months ago, but after seeing the flame wars in GD2004, decided to wait until March to jump into the fray. In all the excitement last night, I decided that I couldn't wait anymore. :D

SO far I haven't been banned, tho that sex thread rule COULD prove to be a problem for me. }(

He was so cute. When I was 8, I had all his records, read Tiger Beat regularly to see pictures of him and watched American Bandstand every time he was on it. I was over him by the time he and Marie got their show.

109. Oh, who played Joanie on "Eight is Enough?"
I loved her!! She was the only one on the show who seemed to have something approaching a genuine comic style--very warm and bubbly, with just a slightly distracted air, in that Sandy Duncan way.

Has no one mentioned Bobby Sherman?

and the Raiders was one big one.

On TV, James T. Kirk, Roger Moore in "The Saint" and David Hedison as Lee Crane on "Voyage to the Bottom of the Sea."

I would be remiss if I forgot to mention Napoleon Solo, and one that I still have a crush on nowadays, Rod Taylor.

115. Here goes through the ages
Jonathan Frid as Barnabas Collins when I was in kindergarten...I would RUN home from school to see Dark Shadows. My now deceased younger brother was an Underdog fan. We would play Underdog and Barnabas.

Tom Jones....I loved watching the show with my mom

Donny Osmond....so much so that purple is STILL my favorite color

Leonard Nimoy as Spock...

Barry Manilow

Bay City Rollers...I think my favorite was Woody

Mark Hamill as Luke Skywalker

Paul Michael Glaser as Starsky and Perchik in Fiddler on the Roof (the movie)...Perchik was a radical who dared to teach Tevye's daughters how to read the Torah. He used to Torah as metaphor on the class struggle...Jacob's experience teaches us never trust an employer.
I am looking forward to the release of Starsky and Hutch Season One on DVD...I remember my friend Michele and I would watch S&H and hold our hands cupped to signify that we liked PMG's tushy! I was so embarrased when my mom asked me what that meant and I told her (I was maybe 13)

Tom Baker as Dr Who 4

I guess that's enough.
