4. Salesman didn't know what he was selling.
Get the product home, and figure out for myself that the mattresses I bought for this bunk bed set aren't safe to use.

Guess what? CAN'T EXCHANGE THEM.

I've talked to three different people over the past few months, and not one of them has said the same thing. It's as if nobody knows what the hell's going on at that place.

Also, during that span of time, I was told repeatedly some variation of "let me check & I'll get back with you"... think they ever did? You'd be wrong!

ARGH!

12. Tell them you're going to contact the BBB and your state
department of consumer protection. I've had good luck with the Connecticut Dept of Consumer Protection most of the time. (the name differs from state to state, in NY it is the Consumer Protection Board...)

and, see if you can get the name or contact info of the company president from the company website and contact her or him directly.

13. Yeah... today was the last straw.
The manager isn't in today... so, tomorrow it's battle time.

*sigh*

It should not be this difficult. Maybe it's the underlings that are drunk with illusory power, and the manager will actually work with me.

I can hope!

14. The manager isn't in?
so, does that mean the inmates are running the asylum? I can't believe there is only 1 manager in the whole store that you can speak with? I can see if it's the owner and she or he is not in... but, shouldn't there always be some sort of manager on duty?

18. Yes, there's a floor manger on duty.
I'm thinking he's probably going to be about as helpful as anyone else I've talked to yet.

17. dispute it as not as described through your credit card
if you can document you did not receive what was sold to you or requested you have a case, even if they refuse a return or exchange. I deal with this stuff all the time.

5. Also, their prices are horrible.
I looked around, but not enough.

I could have bought my mattresses from MACY'S and got a better deal.

:grr:

11. Are you averse to used furniture?
Because after I spent a fricking arm and a leg at that horrible awful terrible no good smelly nasty place that shall not be named, I found an outlet that sells furniture that's been rented.

Got a sofa for cheap. Good condition, too. :)

3. The one that just opened by my house is run by fundies.
During their grand opening celebration, they had KFSH, the local Christian rock station, out in full force handing out pamphlets, bumper stickers, and blaring Christian rock music. That was a sign to avoid that place as long as it remains in business.

10. Did I mention they were right-wing fundies at that?
At one point, they also had the local patriotic country station ( :puke: ) outside doing the same damn thing. No way in hell will I patronize them.

16. I bought a bed frame from there, and it's holding up quite well.
I picked it up from their warehouse, so I didn't really deal with customer service or even the sales staff. The warehouse guys were very nice as I remember.
