Fuckall it's hot here in San Ramon, California
The thermostat said it was 87 F inside. I think it's gotta be pushing 100 outside.

No wind, stale air, and no AC. This is actually by choice. The AC broke down in May and we thought "let's just go the summer without it." This was after seeing the first non-AC bill. Summers usually run us $150 a month. This was around $70.

It's hot in the attic tho...

Right now I really wish I could spend...um...20 minutes in San Francisco (where no doubt it's cold and miserable)

10. We have one too.
It absorbs the heat from the sun all day, then slowly releases it. It takes the entire night for it to cool down completely. In the evening, it's cooling off outside but it's like an oven inside the house. On the other hand, it tends to keep the house relatively cool in the morning, until about noon. Somehow we survive without air conditioning, just fans. The big advantage of the tile roof is that in the winter, the slowly released heat from the roof keeps the house warm in the evening - a primitive form of solar heating. But it's a disadvantage in the summer. I wish I could put a tent over the entire house in the summer, to keep the sun off it.

9. It was 87 in downtown Santa Cruz this afternoon at 2:30pm.
that's hot for a beach town!!

Of course that meant it was 97 up in Scotts Valley. :eyes: There's a very slight breeze, but it's VERY SLIGHT.

Screw this, we're going down to Capitola for a b'day sushi dinner with some friends. Should be cooler...

Hang in there, Tav! :hi:

11. It's sweltering in San Diego County, if that's any comfort to you
104 degrees in the mountain town of Julian, California (elevation 4,235 feet). 95 degrees at our house in San Diego, with heavy, tropical, humid air and thunderstorms forming over the mountains. I'm looking forward to fall so much...

My new son-in-law's parents live there...nice area...

Yeah, man...we're about 20 minutes north of you and it is HOT! And it isn't cooling off much at night, either.

Gotta' admit, though...I have the AC on, set to 78*...it's gotta' be at least 105* outside...
