Who are your favorite professional athletes (who are playing today)?
Edited on Wed Aug-29-07 09:42 PM by mvd
With all the bad news about athletes, I thought I'd start an appreciation thread. My favorites are:

Chase Utley and Ryan Howard from the Phila. Phillies (classy, hard working players that it is a joy to root for)
Brian Dawkins from the Phila. Eagles (passionate and with great leadership qualities)

1. for baseball, my hometown boy Mike Sweeney. He's a great guy,
on and off the field, a hard worker, an over acheiver and never gets into any trouble. He could have jumped ship years ago, but remains a loyal Royal

Tiger Woods is someone who I love to watch. The best I've ever seen. He's like watching Jordan or Gretzky.

2. Tiger Woods
has anyone been so dominate?

Barry Bonds. DOn't care about anyone else but the guy is amazing.

Roger Federer. Again greatness with a touch of humility.

4. My faves would be dismissed as non professional athletes.
Yeah, I loves me some x-games, and I loves me some pro-rasslin.

Oh, well.

12. Andrew Johnson (Everton)
I also like Bobby Convey (Reading). Ronaldinho is a joy to watch, and I am really rooting for Freddy Adu to make a name for himself. Then again Josmer Altidore is an exciting young American to watch.

2 years ago this would have been easier. I LOVED Zinidine Zidane. He's retired now, so I simply enjoy the games as best I can.
