What are your pets' names?
My 11 year old German Shepherd mix dog is named Reba. Yes, I wouldn't have named her after Reba McEntire now, but back then I was into country a lot. And I didn't know she's a Repuke.

and acts like he's 3. Zeus will be 12 in November, he's a miniature Poodle and rules the roost, including Biko, inside the house. Sasha, my other German Shepherd lives outside and will be 11 in September, along with Indy, our Plott Hound who is about 8 or 9 now. Set, our orange tabby, in the way of all cats goes in and out of the house as he so chooses without regard to the comfort of mere humans.

42. wezl, dumbass, mamakitty, watson, rosebud, uno, moonwalker and "the barn kitties"
the barn kitties REALLY need names. One is a solid orange tabby that is probably going to end up as Freddy 'cause he looks like Fat Freddyscat, but I still need two more names. The other two are orange tabbies with white legs and on thier chests and faces - one male, one female. the female is quite shy. Should I do a lounge contest?

43. Pet names...
My pet's names are:

Dog - Sammy, (Or more properly Samantha, so named after Samantha Carter. Who can guess the pop culture reference?)

Cat - Hiroshi, (Or more properly Hiroshimato, so named after watching the credits of a poorly dubbed anime program on Toonami in the 90's. Who can guess that pop culture reference?)

The bird, a Parakeet - Josh. His mate passed away. Her name was Claire.

And then there was Piper. Pip. The dog that passed through no fault of her own. It was my fault to be exact. She wasn't a dog though, she was human. More human that anyone else I have ever met. Too human. Too good for what happened...

Tom is the elder statesman, the alpha cat, an orange tabby with white bib, blaze on the nose, and white feet;
Clarisse is the elder stateswoman, a crazy-ass mostly white calico. Do NOT mess with Clarisse;
Ivan, a 22lb (no fat) tuxedo, who comes when you whistle. Very cool cat;
Novi, aka MommaKitty, a sweet, rotund tortoiseshell who brought us her three baby girls (we kept the family), who are:
Marilyn, a long-haired, cream/orange tabby, part Maine coon;
Hedy, a long-haired silver/black tabby, part Maine coon; and
Ingrid, their sister, who is a virtual replica of Tom, hence we call her "MiniMe".

Brianna is a long haired, Maine Coon/miscellaneous mix with a calico coat and double paws. She was a shelter baby that we adopted in 2001.

Pippy is an all-American mackerel tabby cat, sort of a peanut butter brown with black stripes and a bundle of catitude. We adopted Pip when my wife's "little" in the local Big Sister program moved to a no-pets apartment. Her cat Dippy was rebranded as Pippy/PipCat/Pippen Kitten.

78. We have too much cat turnover to get involved with serious naming...
We live on a farm, cats come, cats go. Typical naming strategy is "Mama Cat" for the mama. ("Color/description)kitten". "(Color)boy cat" for males. We also will use behavioral descriptors such as "stupid", "clumsy", "crazy."

In the past when we had names, our vet complimented us regularly on our names. The two most popular names were "chubby" and "braveheart", her son.

69. 3 cats:
Daisy
Murton
Woody

Our dearest lil Porter passed away 3 months ago- and thank goodness Daisy is ok. She was sick for over a week and we were fearing for her life.

Rescues one and all.
