10. Every scene is the "I hate you!" song from Star Trek IV
Except the end is the last couple minutes of Mahler's Symphony Number 2.

And the Happy Dance Scene is scored for Penderecki's "Agnus Dei" from the Polish Requiem - a great piece of music to contemplate the destruction of the world and end of all life, which is what my Happy Dance would be about.

24. There is actually a band from Sweden called "The Soundtrack of your life"
They opened a few shows for Robert Plant back in 2005. I saw them at SXSW (they were on before Plant). We were next to this couple from Sweden who swore this was the 'Best Band Ever'. Mind you the band is also Swedish and the band's competition is ABBA and Ace of Base

38. I love "Life is Sweet"
I identified with that song so much, those are definitely my parents she is talking about. :hi:

Life is Sweet

It's a pity It's a crying shame
He pulled you down again
How painful it must be
To bruise so easily
Inside
It's a pity it's a downright crime
It happens all the time
You wanna stay little daddy's girl
You wanna hide from the viscous world...
Outside
Don't cry you know the tears will do no good
So dry your eyes
Your daddy he's the iron man
Battle ship wrecked on dry land
Your mamma she's a bitter bride
She'll never be satisfied
You know, and that's not right
But don't cry
You know the tears will do no good
So dry your eyes
They told you life is hard
Misery from the start, it's dull
It's slow, it's painful
But I tell you life is sweet
In spite of the misery
There's so much more, be grateful
Well, who do you believe
Who will you listen to, who will it be
Because it's high time that you decide
In your own mind
I've tried to comfort you
I tried to tell you to be patient
That they are blind and they can't see
Fortune gonna come one day
It all gonna fade away
Your daddy the war machine
And your momma the long and suffering
Prisoner of what she can not see
For they told you life is hard
Misery from the start, it's dull,
It's slow, it's painful
But I tell you life is sweet
In spite of the misery
There's so much more, be grateful
So who will you believe
Who will you listen to
Who will it be
Because it's high time that you decide
It's time to make up your own
Your own state of mind
They told you life is long
Be thankful when it's done
Don't ask for more, be grateful
But I tell you life is short
Be thankful, because before you know it
It will be over
Because life is sweet
Life is all so very short
Life is sweet
And life is all so very short
Life is sweet
Life is sweet

72. This song was the soundtrack of my first 30 years
So I'll just post this:

"4 Hours Out"- Richmond Fontaine, from the "Lost Son" CD

4 hours out, but I can't go back there
To A-Frames and quick build strip malls
And those panelled walls
Will become a distillery again under everyone's focus

13 cities, 7 years
Always uncertain, still unclear
It's a never ending haul of movement
Where nothing appeared right to me
It was barely in focus at all

4 hours out
Maybe my hair and blood will be against the
windshield
But I don't think I could get there either
And the people there will be the same
Knowing I couldn't make it alone
That I couldn't make it away
A-Frames will rise and the bricks will fall
But it'll be the same
Because I'm always the same

13 cities, 7 years
Always uncertain, still unclear
A never-ending haul of movement
Where nothing appeared except
13 cities, 7 years.....

73. this is a really interesting line
"...Will become a distillery again under everyone's focus"

is he talking about himself, or the paneled walls. I like it, nice song. :) :hi:

I understand how the focus of others can distill you in different ways, depending on who is looking, if that is what he is saying. :hi:
