I logged onto a Sean Bean fan site this am and the blog owner was talking about setting up mirrors of the journal at Insane Journal b/c LJ has become so hacked that LJ deletes whole journals w/o warning apparently.

13. That's not LJ's problem, as far as I know.

My understanding of the LJ issue is this: LJ starting deliberately banning journals because of pressure from a religious right group. They banned journals from fandom/slash communities if the characters portrayed (FICTIONAL CHARACTERS) were underage. Like Harry Potter. Also if the characters portrayed were, erm, brothers. Like Supernatural.

The LJ fandom community, which is MASSIVE and brings in whole shitloads of money to the website, is seriously pissed off and a lot of people are mirroring their content somewhere else in preparation for leaving.

17. It's more serious than that

The spammer(s) were/are deliberately posting pedo stuff to fan journals in an attempt to get those journals deleted. But I think you're right and somebody wants to confuse the whole gay/pedo issue again. In my particular case, there's quite a bit of slashfic out there starring Borormir & Aragorn, as well as Boromir and Faramir (the two brothers) . Not my thing, buy hey, :crazy: And hum, I see a theme with this Boromir guy...

They did not help me through the winter.

And workplace irritation has set in along with a phone outage at my house (AT&T 'thinks' it'll be fixed by 8p tomorrow), and a slower than molasses painter who is now on Day Three of painting two not-very-big bedrooms.

But, I have a framed photo of sunset on Lopez Island to remind me of the good time I had.

16. Oh, sorry to hear all that, but the photo sounds nice.

I'm doing pretty well, and no the company went back to their home in Montana.

Probably will have some Seattlites for a night next week, coming down for the Rembrandt exhibit at the PAM. That should be fun. A couple of women that I haven't seen for 23 years (sisters with whom I had been friends in college).

Which means I'll have to clean the house again. Joy.
