Its been 30 years since my last Texas Burger Basket at a Dog n Suds Drive In

Had one today. Didn't even know they were still in business anywhere. The one I used to work (first job) at, and eat at that used to be a block from where I grew up in South Chicago Heights, IL. closed up 30 years ago or so. I assumed they all closed when that one did. I found one on my way down to Indianapolis today to see some old friends. The food was exactly like I remember it from 30 years ago. It was great. They still put all the fast food places to shame. They are really that good. The root beer in the frosted mug is great. I used to make root beer at the one I worked at. Can't wait to go back to this one again. Wish I had one closer around here. Lafayette, IN. is about a two hour drive from here. Long drive for a burger and suds.
