I saw Tears of the Sun earlier today.
Powerful movie.

Still has me a bit shaken.

The scene with the ethnic cleansing in the village took me by surprise. Anybody who can watch that scene and shed no tears is not fully human.

1. Great film. I love those military "special ops mission" stories.

3. I don't understand
how human life can be so cheap to some.

4. Outstanding film.
I'm not much of a Willis fan, but...this one really hit hard. Yes, I DID shed tears during that scene. So did the rest of my family.

A horror beyond horrors.

5. I'm boycotting Willis...and the other pub actors..
I don't want them to get even a .10 cent royalty from me renting it...so I'll have to wait for it to play on HBO ;)

On a side note...I did love Braveheart and "The Patriot" with Mel Gibson...I saw those war flicks before I found out he was a fundie..

6. I know how you feel, but...
I make so much fun of my co-worker who won't see a movie with Tim Robbins, Sean Penn, or Martin Sheen and I just think it's so stupid. I vowed not to do the same. Besides, for some reason, I like Willis movies. I've always been a Mel Gibson fan too.

7. I'm with you.
I also won't give that pusbag any more of my money. I've hated Bruce Willis and his loudmouth, obnoxious persona since the 80s, but couldn't put my finger on exactly why. When he asked Chimpy to send him to Iraq, I finally knew.

Still haven't seen the last Terminator movie either, but it doesn't seem to mean that much anymore.

The fundies can boycott any movie they like. So can we. People may think it's stupid, but to me it's no different than NOT shopping at Wal-Mart or Home Depot. Why give the enemy any more money to try to crush you?

8. Powerful movie
The best one I saw last year. It seemed a microcosm of the types of events that do happen in this world today; "God has left Africa" indeed.

It's too bad that people are put off from seeing it because of Willis, because his understated persona in this film is what helps make it so moving. And after all, he did not support Arnie in the recall.

I'm surprised his acting was overlooked by so many critics. It was deserving of recognition.

10. Monica Bellucci's heaving ta-tas deserve recognition too
I saw this movie as a laughably bad 'conflict' set, with the glorious specimens of white men saving the day. Total military stroke-fest, but hey, to each their own.

9. I've been avoiding this movie. Now I need to see it.
I didn't know much about it but I figured with Willis in it it would be a right-wing polemic. But due to all these remarks, I'm looking forward to seeing it. Hmmm. There are two Robert Duvall movies I have been avoiding also. Maybe I should see them too.

11. Booooo
Don't ever avoid Robert Duvall, no matter what his politics are. He's a great actor. I love the guy.

12. It will affect you and make you think
That's what a good movie does to you.
