1. He's probably just crawling back into the woodwork,
and he'll pull puppet boy's strings from there. :cynical:

5. One hell of a piece of news to wake up to
Even if the incredible damage is already done.

In fact he's probably leaving because there's nothing left to plunder

7. Well, as I postulated in GD, mayhaps Chimpy is starting to realize
that folks are on to Rove, and the stink is getting awfully close to him, so it's time to cut his losses.

Guessing he'll either move to Dubai to work for Halliburton or join Ken Lay wherever he's hiding...

Wonder if he consciously timed it for when Randi Rhodes and Mike Malloy are on vacation? ;)

12. And there are countless more just like him
who, under his tutelage are ready to carry on his work. We've not shown them there is punishment for the things they've done, only rewards. Just like Iran-Contra, all they have to do is feign ignorance, spin just enough and they'll get away with anything. The neocons will continue unabated no matter who's running the show.

He'll be pre-emptively pardoned and will go work for Mitt Romney.

16. This post is a total buzzkill. Do not read if you wish to stay happy about Rove "leaving".
This means nothing regarding an increase in freedom or a return to Constitutional values. Nothing.

This means that they are getting comfortable enough in what they've established, that they can leave the active scene and revel in the results.

The old boy's network is in place and functioning. The corporations are at new levels of freedom and unaccountability. Disaster capitalists are continuing to rake it in, out of our taxpayer dollars. They've sold the coutry out from under us, taken the money, invested it in corporations that will continue to steal even more of our freedom, and left us with the 9 trillion dollar debt.

The parasites have become bloated enough from their vampirism of the country that they're falling off to go happily rest and breed.

This is very bad news. It means that they're confident in their acheivments and as always, don't care who knows it because there's not much that we can do, short of taking over the lawmaking process ourselves to correct all of it.

I don't hear a single Democratic candidate talking about repealing the laws which funnel money to the Republicans and repealing corporate feedbags, other than Dennis Kucinich. At all. At all.

What does this mean? It means that even if a Democrat comes into office, the Repubican corporate machine will continue to function, eating our freedom and tax dollars, regardless of whatever other benefit the Democrat can install. Carlyle is bidding on Virgin Communications. This means that George Bush can listen to your phone calls. Period.

The machine is in place and only one man is talking about dismantling it.

Much less imprisoning those who have destroyed the country and left us with the work of repairing it, at our own expense.

They're "going to Disneyland", folks, not jail. We have still accomlished nothing other than the hope that the 2008 vote will fix everything. Just like we wished Pelosi would, and Conyers would, and the Plame investigation would, and the DSM would, and lack of WMD would, etc.

Wake up and smell the cat box. The economy is in an extremely dangerous position. And if it falls, guess who will profit wildly from it? As they have at ever single turn...

I came here in part to get away from those posts.
