as a kid - I was looking for a gift for my older brother. I knew nothing of music - except that rock bands looked grungy - so I chose an album based on looks. No kidding. Got the brother an album from Fat Mattress. (I dont remember ever hearing it - and doubt he ever listened to it either.)

37. Some strange psychedelic-era bandnames
Dr. West's Medicine Show and Junk Band

The Crab Cometh Forth

The Charging Tyrannosaurus of Despair

The Electric Prunes

Isosceles Popsicle

(I've never actually heard (or seen) anything by TCCF or TCTOD, but I remember them from a list of weird psychedelic band names I read. Isosceles Popsicle were from Louisiana I think, and I don't think they ever broke through nationally on any level.)
