He stuff w/ American Music Club is w/o equal; I saw them a number of times in the late 80's and early 90's. His CD "Slider" I play alot on my overnight show...

2. So, there's at least 2 of us.

I 'save' slider for times when I need the escape. I also save it when we drive from OK to New Mexico. When I get to the high plains, outside of Clayton, or the west side of Amarillo, in goes Slider. He seems like a nice guy. We had a fairly regular email deal going back when slider first came out. Wish there was a follow up.

I talked to Mark and the rest of the guys in AMC the last time I saw them live and they are great guys, Bruce, too. Vudi is hysterical, and he laughed when I told him I wanted to move to SF just so I could have him as my city bus driver (which is his day job when he's not playing guitar in AMC).

Pail Brainard of Richmond Fontaine is another favorite Pedal-Steel player of mine; his work especially on the "Lost Son" record (especially on "Four Hours Out") is majestic, and never fails to put a tear in my eye..
