Rode a conservatives ass this weekend-not a freeper
He is a friend of mine living in CA. He was hereon the East Coast-helping his girlfriend getting to move ot to CA with him. I wore my DU shirt and of cource that started it off. When I walked in I heard a few snickers about my shirt. Well I aslo met a Morroccon medical student and boy he looked like he was from the Middle East. He started talking about fiscal conservatism. LOL like Chimpy is saving us money. Then he started on freedoms and not wanting big govement in his yard. Can you say Anti-patriot's act. This medical student really went after him on that one. I started on him about the problems with health care and the need for Universal Health Care. He rolled his eyes at me. Well by the end of the evening I got an invite to California. Gave em a hug and said Grey Davis in 2004. He then told me You fucking Democrat get out of my house. It was friendly though and I will see him next year. I also invited the Medical student to check DU out. All in All a good time

1. See, it's okay to be friends with conservatives.
I have a few myself. Sure, I have to wear my special safety goggles, earplugs, and latex gloves when I talk to them, but I love them like (mentally unstable and abusive) brothers.

All kidding aside, sometimes it's very instructive to have conservative friends, just so you can hear tyheir talking points and step momentarily out of our safety zones to confront ideas we find offensive. Debate can be healthy...and if you can stand having conservative friends and have lotsa stuff in common to talk about besides politics, more power to ya.
