Does anybody else know their Myers Briggs classification?
I tested strong for INTP, then I took it and it was INTJ. Do you know yours? It sure explained some things for me.

16. For the most part
Edited on Sat Aug-04-07 11:05 AM by DS1
I'm easily irritated by morons, and often jump to the answer of a problem without taking those pesky things. Steps, I believe they're called. I'm a programmer, but I also love to dive into 3D design and conceptualizations, but after awhile the details of such bore me to tears.

edit: INTP

there's a lot of them in the lounge, I'm wondering if DU simply reaches a level of filtering that is attractive to such types.

:) :hi: I've taken the Myers-Briggs and a couple of its cousins several times over the years, and the results were the same each time. I was a psych major in college and studied the types thoroughly. I know I'm an INFP. :)

I'm more outgoing than I used to be. But truth be told, I used to be VERY shy. I still turn things inward and can be very contemplative about things...:P

But I'm not a complete introvert. :D

44. Interesting I just took a similar test
twice

once I was an INFP

second time two hours later an ENFP.

The only difference is that I was thinking about things a little differently, but I really didn't think I answered many questions differently.

I'm shy and used to be much more shy.

It is hard to imagine you shy, with your posting your pics here :D and just the perception I have, but I understand that because people don't believe me in person or online when I tell them I'm shy.

I really am still a shy guy inside that has gotten less shy, and more extraverted over time too!

:hi:

7. INTP
I tested as an INTP - as a computer guy, I have a lot of company. My strong indicators are I and T, while my N and P are less pronounced. Helped me learn a lot about my own tendencies and motivations. However, you have to be careful not to let the test results pigeonhole your personality traits - it is a guide, but the levels are fluid; for example I am very extraverted in certain situations - but mostly, I'm in my own head.

Edited on Sun Aug-05-07 07:50 PM by smtpgirl
I am a ENFP, would rather be that.

ENTJ is sometimes considered to be the ideal type in business - for example MBA students who take the MBTI are expected to test as ENTJ. One could argue however that ESTJ are more apt at the routine of working one's way up in a large business organization than the visionary and original ENTJ.

Referring to Keirsey, ENFPs belong to the temperament of the idealists and are called "Champions".

ENFPs are initiators of change who are keenly perceptive of possibilities, and who energize and stimulate through their contagious enthusiasm. They prefer the start-up phase of a project or relationship, and are tireless in the pursuit of new-found interests. ENFPs are able to anticipate the needs of others and to offer them needed help and appreciation. They bring zest, joy, liveliness, and fun to all aspects of their lives. They are at their best in situations that are fluid and changing, and that allow them to express their creativity and use their charisma. They tend to idealize people, and can be disappointed when reality fails to fullful their expectations. They are easily frustrated if a project requires a great deal of follow up or attention to detail.
