What movies have you walked out of before they were over?
And why did you walk out? I walked out of "The English Patient" after about 45 minutes, out of sheer boredom. Same for a documentary about Lech Walsea called "Man of Iron."

Nothing redeemable in 2 hours of film. Just ourightly a bad movie.

I really hated Casablanca, but I didn't leave the theatre because I was at home. I just changed the channel.

2. The Nightmare Before Christmas and one other one I can't even recall.
Only two movies I've ever walked out on.

Left TNBC because it was putting me to sleep.

Left the other one because it was pure crapola. Wandered around window shopping until it was over, as MrSG, my daughter and my SIL were also at the movie, and they liked it.

4. El Cid
Remember when long movies had intermissions? My sister and I went to see El Cid when we were young and left at the intermission because we thought it was the end.

7. Were you satisfied with it after leaving at the intermission?
Must have been pretty good if you thought it was the whole story. And yes I remember not only intermissions, but overtures! West Side Story and Lawrence of Arabia both have long overtures. 2001: A Space Odyssey has an overture which is just the soundtrack of the human chorus, before the curtains go up and the lights go down. Same thing after the intermission too.

14. Doug hated it, too. I liked the way the stories were interwoven
and flashed backward and forward at the same time. Plus, I really liked the actors.

Maybe liking this film is like enjoying anchovies.

16. I guess I'll have to give it another chance someday. I don't like flashbacks much.
I really don't care for the "flashback structure" some films have. An occasional flashback in a film is fine, as long as it is brief and necessary to the story, to explain something important that happened a long time before the current storyline. I have no problem with that. But the style some movies have where they are told in flashbacks all the way through - that doesn't appeal to me at all. I think the movie loses a lot of momentum when they do that. "The Last Emperor" was hacked up like they just took the film reel, cut it in half, threw it all in the air, then pieced it together however it landed on the floor. It was a complete mess - yet it won an Oscar for best editing! And The Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind was another disaster created in the editing room. Oh well, just my opinion.

Not really walked out of, but
rather deleted from my computer before finishing ;) I just can't stand Jack Black, and don't know why I even thought of downloading Tenacious D in the first place. I just hate Jack Black, and absolutely detested the movie.
