Does your cat ever pick fights with you?
Edited on Thu Aug-02-07 01:31 PM by WilliamPitt
Mine does. Just did, in fact.

He sneaks up under my chair when I'm at the computer, does the Jaws up-leap, and grabs my arm with all front claws and every tooth.

And then I beat on him a while, and he looks at me like it's my fault.

He started it.

1. Mine likes to wrestle. I have to say a loud "Ouch" to get him to stop.

2. Not quite
but when I talk to my computer, Oliver comes and sits down in front of me so I have to talk to him and not the monitor. Jealousy, I guess!

6. None of my current cats do that, but my first cat loved to.
My Maine Coon, Pixie, loved to wrestle with me. He loved to wrap himself around an arm or leg and kick and claw and bite for all he was worth.

I always wore long sleeves and long pants around him for exactly that reason. He was a wonderful, playful beast. I always thought it was endearing that he considered me his wrestling buddy.

8. Everyday.
She's a spaz. We'll be snuggling, and all of a sudden she pops me in the face or the hand-which ever is closer (full claws). So, I start petting her again and she calms down-then does it again! This would go on forever, but I've learned not to put up with it. It's taken me 10 years, but I will not tolerate it! She has me well trained. She's my angel.

9. Sounds like she needs a good game of "I've got your face."
Edited on Thu Aug-02-07 02:03 PM by WilliamPitt
Just grab her face in your palm and say "I've got your face."

They love that.

10. Oh, yes.
She would love that-seriously. She acts like she's so starved for attention when she is so spoiled.

16. I don't know cat anatomy very well
but I assume she already has one?

She's a badass! My daughter is assumed to be emo because of all the scratches on her arms from that cat.

17. I had one who would wait until I was absorbed in my morning coffee and newspaper...
Then he'd fly up from nowhere and smack the paper hard. He just loved to watch me jump.

19. Yeah, sometimes she does.
She'll be laying on my lap, sleeping away, and sometimes, when I move just a little bit, she turns into a wild animal, does that gutteral hissy sound, and reaches out and scratches me, or even worse, digs her claws into my arms or legs.

Scares the freak outta me when she does that.

Plus, she leaves scars.

If I'm not paying enough attention to him (or too much) he'll hold onto my wrist with both his front paws, start gnawing on my hand ("Ow! No biting!"), and beat at my arm with his hind legs.

He also likes to play a game called Leap Up and Snatch the Hand On the Door Handle.
