Shakespeare fans - we've just seen Patrick Stewart in Macbeth
I've seen a number of productions of Macbeth over the years but this was the best by far.

It was theatre in the round, so we were right there in the action - at one point a fleeing soldier nearly fell over my wheelchair. Stewart was passionate, authoritative, daring and, in fact, superb. Of course he had a life before Star Trek with the Royal Shakespeare Company and he's due to take this production into the West End of London when this run is finished.

1. I envy you, mr blur
I've been a fan long before Star Trek. His performance as Karla in Smiley's People was masterful. Any actor who can steal a scene from Alec Guinness without saying a word is, as you say, superb.

6. I was really proud of our teenagers -
they were gripped - one of them went up to PS afterwards for an autograph and didn't mention Star Trek or the X-Men!

8. Who played Lady Mac?
Anyone we know?

Wouldn't it be great if he and Helen Mirren did a film of MacBeth. That would blow off the doors.

11. I am stung by the green-eyed monster!
It's been a long time since I've been able to have a Shakespeare fix, much less with PS.

Sounds completely enthralling.
