Who else thought Alastair Campbell was a bit of a douche on Stewart this evening?

He seemed a bit bothered by Stewart's interview style, ordered Stewart to lift his book for the camera at one moment (the book is the size of a phone book), then coughed what I believe was an insult as Stewart reached for his hand at the end of the interview.

Does it also help my case if I mention that he believes (naively) that the world is better without Saddam, and that the people making these people are human beings. Stewart promptly retorted, "And so are the people in the countries we invade." I think that prompted the little cough.

Did anyone else see this?

6. Yeah, "a bit of a douche" would be a dramatic improvement

but I doubt it's anything more than the surface impression if he seems just "a bit". Deep down, Alistair Campbell is one of the Worst People in the World. A cross between Ari Fleischer, Dick Cheney and Robert Novak.

I await the Daily Show here in the UK tonight with interest. I hope Stewart mentions driving David Kelly to suicide.

Sucked up to Blair for years and now he has to justify it. Not to mention make as much money as possible out of it.
