How old were you when you made your first memorable stupid decision?
Something that after years and years you've regretted.

When I was 16 my dad, a pilot, offered to pay for flying lessons so I could get a private pilots license. In my wisdom I replied, "I'd rather have a motorcycle." So I've never been a pilot. I stopped the motorcycle thing at 18 after 3 bad falls.

2. When I was 3, I decided to put postage stamps all over the furniture at home
I thought that they looked sort of like the price tags at the store. My mother went ballastic.
I didn't really regret that one. It was just something stupid that a three year old would think of.
When I was in fifth grade and moved to a new school in the middle of the school years, the first girl that made friends with me was a social outcast. It wasn't long before I ditched her for more popular classmates. I still regret that decision because I hurt her and didn't do it because I really liked them better. I did it to avoid being a social outcast too. I think that I acted immorally then and showed bad character.

3. About age 7 when I faked a prize Easter Egg so I could win the
prize. The church egg hunt was at my grandparent's farm and when they announced that the prize egg had not been found and that it was a certain color and had certain markings, I went into the kitchen and selected an egg that color and marked it....and claimed the prize.

My grandma found the real egg a few days later.

I still feel guilty, 43 years later.

4. I was 15
And my older brother convinced me that smoking was cool and "taught" me how. Worse decision of my life and I am still paying for it. Quitting is so freaking hard!

6. When I was three I thought it would be fun to roll down the stairs
By about the 5th stair I realized "this isn't what I hoped it would be" knowing I had about another twelve to go.

8. Yup...1972 and I was 17 years old...
...and I decided it would be so much better to nag my parents into letting me join the Army rather than finishing my senior year in high school (I took the GED)...

Some things appear so much more interesting on the big screen...

:D
