Anyone else here ever play electric football, with the metal vibrating board?
Edited on Mon Jul-30-07 03:40 PM by The Straight Story
I was posting on another thread and it brought back memories of that game.

I used to paint the little guys, line em up, adjust their bases....and then watch them go all the fuck over the place with little or no logic despite my best laid plans.

I think I will get that game again, my daughter would love it :)

4. OMG!!1!! I had one of those in the early 70's.

I painted mine to be the Dallas Cowboys, and my friend had the Minnesota vikings. Many a winter afternoon spent with that game!

Did you ever try to throw a pass, punt, or kick a field goal?

We had to buy a pack of those felt footballs every year!

5. I remember too the paper football game
Fold up the paper, push it across the table, and it hung over the edge ya got a touchdown - then ya had to kick it through finger goal posts :)

I might have to play that again as well soon!

6. What a blast from the past
The hum of the vibrating field and the little players vying for position, sometimes falling over and spinning in a circle.

:hi:

9. i gave my youngest son one a year ago for christmas-
found it at a thrift shop, and he loved it-

My brother used to have one of them. I thought it was kind of ..lame... but watching my son play made it make sense. He does a play, turns off the switch, sets up the lines again and does another down.- it's actually kind of fun.

20. No. Moved to MD four years ago.
I actually grew up in Northwest Ohio. My town's claim to fame is they made all of the NFL Footballs. Yes the Wilson Football factory! It's actually pretty cool to see them assemble the footballs.

15. Played with my cousin
when we went to PIttsburgh to visit. He was a real Steelers fan, of course. And we were roughly the same age. So I played with him.

16. Anybody remeber the cars that had the long plastic pull thing...
You pull through the car and then pulled it out as fast as you could, and let the car go. The faster you pulled it the faster and farther the car would go. What were those called?

19. I remember tabletop football!
I bunch of players running around in every direction, crashing into each other, in utter chaos.

Growing up a Patriots fan in the '70s and '80s, this was actually a realistic game...

21. Yes, it was impossible to play.
The plays never worked, everyone would go off at random.
