So, last week I was feeling pretty discouraged

and frustrated. I whined a bit and got some support and encouragement from a few of y'all. Boojatta, in particular, really pushed and, in the end, I submitted six different stories to six different places.

One of them has already been accepted.

and I haven't even subbed anything since January. And before that, it had been nearly a year. I had to get out of the hole I've been digging myself.

I'm also feeling a bit red-faced. One of the markets that I subbed replied with a note that he was forwarding the submission to the fiction editor. Turns out I know the guy. So I responded with a short note, thanking him for getting back to me and expressing my surprise that _______ is connected with the publication.

Only it wasn't the right publication. The minute I hit the 'send' button, I realized my mistake. x(
