Simon & Garfunkel: Live From New York City, 1967
Has it been 40 years?

What a dream I had,
pressed in organdy,
clothed in crinoline of smoky burgundy,
softer than the rain.
I wandered empty streets
down past the shop displays,
I heard cathedral bells
tripping down the alley ways
as I walked on.

And when you ran to me
your cheeks flushed with the night.
We walked on frosted fields of juniper and lamplight,
I held your hand.
And when I awoke and felt you warm and near,
I kissed your honey hair with my grateful tears....

1. You brought tears to my eyes. Everything seemed so clear and simple in 1967.

We were living in New York City.
It was the year before my daughter was born, and two years before my son came into the world.
The year I bought my first Cocker Spaniel puppy, Buffy -- she was my first living "child". That was when my ex- still loved me... before we moved to Florida in 1969, and well before he died in 2006.

Ah, youth. Ah, time... it crinkles in my mind.

Thanks for posting.

Sincerely,

Radio Lady

PS. Charlie Rose, on public television, did a recent 30-minute interview with Paul Simon. He has experienced a pretty healthy musical revival after a downturn decades ago. He seems like a very kind and decent human being.

6. If You Do Not Have "You're the One"
by all means get it. It was was 3-4 years ago. Did not get as much press as Graceland, but it's one of his best. He has continued to get more creative and more sophisticated, especially in his arrangements.

3. what a beautiful album
something about just the picture, I can hear how amazing they sound.
The shows on lately about Paul Simon just made me cry sometimes, amazing music does that to me and the sound of their songs takes me back like deja-vu. I love them so much.

5. Wotta coinkidink. I was just listening to that an hour ago.
I was thinking that they would get my vote for greatest singing duo EVER. It's a real pity they broke up.
