7. I Love Abbey Road
I have been on the fence about Kerry & Clark. Then I saw on the Daily Show that when candidates were asked about their favorite album -- Well, Kerry answered Abbey Road and Clark answered Journey's Greatest Hits -- well that pushed me over the fence!

8. McCartney's wife has to have major surgery
in the next week or so. Good karma to her.

If I was listening to Abbey Road I'd be hypnotized by the guitar licks in "I Want You (She's So Heavy)". I think I'll put my earphones on and tune out the world. Thanks!

10. Come Together.
This is my favorite track on this album. I also like the cover that Aerosmith does of it.

"Something"

Abbey Road came out when I was about 12, and I damn near wore the grooves off it. I still have it somewhere. Side two is my favorite; I can still play the whole thing through in my head.

13. Do you also like "Hey Jude?"
And anytime you feel the pain, Hey Jude, refrain
Don't carry the world upon your shoulders...

That's my favorite Beatles song. I like it even better than "Imagine."

14. Is it one of the most overrated albums of all time?

I think it is. Good, just not worthy of all the praise that has been heaped upon it since 1969.

15. What's your favorite Beatles song?
My current favorite is "Here Comes The Sun," but I must admit a real weakness for "I Saw Her Standing There".

Julie

p.s. Then again, there are so many favorite Beatles songs, how can anyone name just one?!?

16. Abbey Road and Revolver are the best
Hello Beatle fans.

I'm new here, as of this afternoon. I was just informed that I don't have enough posts yet to start my own thread. I'm looking forward to doing that. I wanted to make a grand entrance.

It's so nice to be here.

Sgt. Pepper is the only Beatle album that didn't live up to the hype, in my humble, worthless opinion.

But Abbey Road? Beautiful.

17. Welcome aboard!

Nice to have you at DU--even if my own Beatles favorites tend to predate "Revolver." ;)

18. It's all good
Thanks!

I'm so happy.

Early Beatles is great, too. Like I said, the only one that doesn't blow me away is Sgt. Pepper. But I love them all.

Beatles For Sale, Help! and Hard Day's Night are other faves.

Do you have a favorite?
