5. I've spent a few pleasant days there myself.
Not today though. I had to work today. The foothills were sort of hazy, but the Flatirons looked nice driving in from Longmont.

Sigh. I miss the days when I could just relax under a tree on the CU campus and read.

2. I hope that it is not a great burden to you.
It's never fun to have something negative playing in your mind.

I don't want to pry, and won't ask you because if you wanted to say, you would have in your OP.

I'm here if you need an ear, or a shoulder, or a hug.

3. It's nothing at all depressing or burdensome....
Just waxing nostalgic as we all do when we start thinking in years instead of months...

6. Nothing wrong with that.
It's always the quiet hours of the night/morning that it comes back.

I hope you're enjoying your memories.

13. aha!
well I just took the doggies out for a midnight walk (they love it when I can't sleep) and looking at it over the ocean it sure looked full, but maybe not quite. Sheesh.

And my period is due too. BAD combo.

16. You and me, both.
On both accounts. Love walking the dogs in the moonlight. HATE that the other part's headed my way, though.

18. Hey you
did you ever read up on Everest? You mentioned it some time ago and I just went OFF.

You started me on a reading fever I still have not quenched. I have read just about every book written on that mountain.

Kinda wish they would leave her alone now. The mountain is trashed and I think it wrong of rich idiots to pay to get pulled up by others. Sorry, rant over. But still, thanks on the reading tip. Fascinating stuff.

19. I have SO much reading to do...
No...I've not read any further, as far as new books. I still plunder the internet for stuff to read...and I agree with you. It's a shame that Everest can be trashed like that--exploited in that way, if you've got 60,000 dollars and are minimally fit.

12. It is a full moon...
We had a bit of a scare with the MIL tonight...

I thought we lost her...

But we remained calm, kept her focused until the EMS showed up and took her to the hospital...

24. Kenny Lofton coming back to The Tribe?
Even I had a lump in my throat when I saw his first at-bat Friday night, and the SO got to him, too. I'm glad to see him play in Cleveland one more time...

26. He finally learned that it's not all about him
But the team. Still, I've always loved the guy; I'llnever forget the first all-star game in Clevo after Albert Belle signed w/ the White Sox and just got booed out of Jacobs Field when he was announced. Then Kenny (who was traded in the offseason for David Justice and Marquis Grissom)was announced and got that long SO and he looked like he was going to cry. Then they cut back to Belle, who looked like he wanted to throw 60,000 baseballs at the crowd's heads...

27. The line-up now has Grady Szemore, Kenny Lofton, Victor Martinez,
Haffner, Garko, Perolta, Blake, Michales or Nixon and Barfield...

Not as snazzy as the 90's teams, but if they can get two or three years out of these guys, we will win a world series...
