It will be a year on august 8th. Mom always bought me a pair of shoes on my birthday,no matter how well I did in life. I never got around to asking why. Funny thing is,I bought some shoes last week, probably unconsciously.
It's hard. I just passed the third anniversary of my mom's death, and I still keep thinking, "Oh, gotta call Mom" whenever something happens. I hope you can have a good birthday. Wear your new shoes. :-)
shortly after my mom died, and she was a huge fan and very loyal to them--she would have been THRILLED at the series win. That night was bittersweet for me.
actually the second birthday after she died (this last one) was the hardest one for me.
So many things have happened in my life since she died it is unbelievable. I don't know if she would turn over in her grave or give me a thumbsup. Then again, it is my life and my choices. Sorry to digress
August 7 will be my second birthday since my mother died. She always called me at work at 3:50 in the afternoon (the hour that I was born) to say happy birthday. I miss that.
I am taking my birthday, and the days surrounding it off work. My family and I are heading to a restaurant for dinner on my birthday. The triplets' family (their father is executive chef at a Viagra Triangle :eyes: Chicago restaurant) and he is making dinner for all of us...and friends of mine who have been invited.
:D
I hope that you have a good one with your new shoes.
I still miss her terribly and always will. She used to give me a year's subscription for Nat'l Geo every Christmas. I still have the last post card of the mom polar bear with cubs...telling me I'd get the subscription for 2001.
