My neighborhood is completely overrun with feral cats!!!

I'd like to get my hands on whoever owned the first generations of these cats, and let them run outside without being fixed!! This is an awful place for them to be. The great majority are going to end up roadkill. They have a hard life, and it all could have been avoided.

Not to mention that they're driving my cats and the beagle crazy!!


People, people, people....please spay and/or neuter!!!

1. start your political career-- organize your neighbors to catch as many cats and take them to get

spayed/neutered.

should be relatively easy. knock on some doors, raise some funds, make some phone calls.

That's what my brother and his wife did on their own. They borrowed traps and caught the cats. Took them to be spayed and neutered and brought them back home and let them go again. Those cats keep other cats from moving in. Now their numbers are manageable and not growing. It really does work. He and my sister-in-law have 7 inside cats and most of those were from feral litters. They do feed the feral cats too.

I have caught a few ferals in my time and had them fixed... there are one or two more boys around here I need to catch... all in good time!

If you do try to get a few of them fixed, thank you so much. It can really, really help reduce the feral population and increase the quality of life for the existing ferals.
