Motorcycles and the Confederate Flag--explain please

So, I'm at this state park that is just FULL of motorcyclists today, for some reason. And there are Confederate battle flags EVERYWHERE--decals on the bikes, tatts, t-shirts, jackets, hats, and on and on. Can someone please explain--is there some connection between bikes and the Confederate flag that I don't see? Something to do with being rebellious, maybe? Anyone?

There was a large group of African Americans there--looked like a family reunion or something--and this whole bunch of bikers went by with little CSA flags fluttering from their bikes, and I just cringed.

But, obviously, I'm not understanding something. Help, please.

1. I don't know about the confederate flag

But some bikers have swastika symbol on their gear, I've heard this originated from WWII Veterans bringing back Nazis gear and putting it on their bikes as a trophy like a deer head.
