Lounge, I seriously need your help. My life could depend on it!
I've been slacking on the weights, man. It's too hot now, but at 6pm MDT I plan to hop on my bike and ride to the gym for my "supergirl workout" (bike + upper body weights).

If I don't go, then I will start turning into dough. Then life will go downhill on its long, inevitable march to finality. Okay?

9. What I do is grab some flab, and ask myself how much I want it gone.
Doesn't work all the time... the older I get, the more comfortable I seem to get with my flab. :P

12. Exercise "cycles"
This is how it goes: For about six months, I exercise faithfully every day, increasing my tolerance and just being very proud of myself. Then the seventh months happens. I start feeling like I have no spirit of adventure, that I'm too predictable and boring because I exercise faithfully every day. Then I turn into a vegetable, and I become a fat vegetable. Then I start exercising again. Does anyone know the secret to a healthy exercise regime?

16. a couple of "secrets"
or things that work for me, anyway

continually set new goals for yourself, and let others know about them. I sign up to run 2 marathons a year, plus a couple smaller runs. This gives me a goal to train for, because I sure dont want to show up not ready. And by telling my family and friends about it, I dont want to let them down or embarass myself by not being able to make it.

find a friend or workout partner. your less likely to skip a workout if you feel like you're letting down someone else.

cross train, find new and different ways to work out. bored of running? try biking or swimming or cross country skiing.

Don't thank me, thank the sorority that had that slogan reproduced on a flyer at a copy shop I worked in 20 years ago.
