I don't like the Harry Potter books/movies.
It's not that I dislike them, it's just they're not my cup of tea. I put down Sorcerer's Stone halfway through, I just didn't like it. I've caught a couple of the movies on TV, they just didn't interest me.

Now given all that, why am I so interested in hearing about the Harry Potter spoilers?

1. I only saw the first one and thought it was a good kids movie

Honestly, where do people come up with the, "it will make your kids worship satan" stuff? That was all I heard about Harry Potter years ago. How evil it was for kids.

2. People have always been saying stuff like that.
People said that stuff when Snow White came out. It promotes witchcraft, turn kids into Satan worshippers, etc.

5. That's very interesting
I was just a toddler when Snow White came out and don't remember or would have understood what they were talking about. I'm surprised they didn't burn down the theaters that were showing the movie back then. Makes you wonder how Shakespeare and Poe even made it into our schools.

3. I think the movies are pretty entertaining
I tried reading the first one, but I was really into the Redwall series at the time and didnt think it compared so I kinda fell out of the loop

6. Me neither
I never read the books but I saw parts of the movies and they just didn't interest me. I don't like all that fantasy, magical stuff.

7. You just want to take the easy way out...
You are curious but don't want to be bothered by the "work" of reading all those pesky books, but you are dying to know the ending (like everyone even those who profess not to care). Don't worry I won't spoil it for you after I finish reading it late Sunday night!;)

8. I know a mom who enjoyed the books more than her kids
There was a co-worker of mine who would read every book that her kids wanted to read first. She told me how she really loved the Harry Potter books a lot and probably understood and got more out of them better than her kids.
