1. Funny thing about that
That cartoon was called "Boss Cat" in the U.K. I think there was somebody else who already had a trademark "Top Cat," a pet food maybe. So they changed it. But they didn't redub the cartoon, so I could never understand why everybody called him "T. C." It was years before I found out.

5. Top Cat!
Top Cat!
The most effectual Top Cat!
Who's intellectual close friends get to call him T.C.
Providing it's with dignity.

Top Cat!
The indisputable leader of the gang.
He's the boss, he's a pip, he's the championship.
He's the most tip top,
Top Cat.

Yes he's a chief, he's a king,
But above everything,
He's the most tip top,
Top Cat.

Top Cat!

4. Oh Yeah
I loved T.C.

I was telling someone about this cartoon at work last week. They were younger than I and had no idea what I was talking about.

I haven't seen it since i was a very young child. I remember it was on TV at about the same time as Bullwinkle & Rocky. That would have been, I think, around 1964-65. Is that about right?

I don't really remember individual plot lines, just that T.C. and his friends were like hipster beatnik cats. Wasn't there a stereotypical Irish cop in the cartoon as well?

7. I loved Top Cat when I was a kid.
I'd love to see it again. I wonder if it's around anywhere.
