Police: Drunken man who picked fight with 70-year-old gets pummeled, arrested

A 50-year-old Sheboygan man picked the wrong “old man” to fight with early Wednesday morning, according to a press release from the Sheboygan Police Department.

According to the release:

Just after 6 a.m., the 50-year-old man pulled into the drive-through of Burger King, 1322 Erie Ave., where he saw a 70-year-old customer sitting outside the restaurant. The 50-year-old man yelled at the 70-year-old man, who later told officers he didn’t know the younger man.

The driver went through the drive-through, got his food and pulled around into the parking area, where he got out of his car and again confronted the 70-year-old.

The driver told the customer: “I’ll take you out. You’re not fast enough, old man,” and tried to grab him by the collar. The 70-year-old man, backed up to a wall, responded by throwing his cup of hot coffee at the other man.
The driver then struck the 70-year-old, a former amateur boxer who responded by delivering a series of blows to his attacker, driving him backward.

The Scots didn't do anything, but got back in their van and drove off. Then some bloke approached the yanks, informing them that those fellows wearing kilts were part of the Scottish boxing team.

Some young punk tried picking an older fellow's pocket, and when caught, tried to hit the "victim."

Turned out the "victim" was a former Marine and Golden Gloves boxer.

9. My dad's about 75, was a Golden Gloves boxer when he was a teenager

and has lifted weights all his life. Very strong guy.

Once at a KFC in Billings, MT, he and my mom were having some chicken. A crusty younger guy came in and started cursing up a storm over the counter at the manager on duty. My dad went up to the guy and said, "Would you mind your language? I'm with my wife here."

The guy turned around and gave my dad a face full of profanity. So dad just knocked him the fuck out. Then my mom saw somebody going for the payphone and said, "Bob, they're calling the cops!"

Dad said, "Grab the chicken and let's go!"

10. my uncle beat a 35 year old up when he was 75

my uncle (retired miner) had survived two bouts of cancer when he did this too..

this guy was tailgating him...and...so my uncle pulled over to get out of the way...and the jerk actually pulled over too...(I guess he was in a fighting mood)...

He starts to pick a fight with my uncle and my uncle beat the shit out of him...the police were called and the 35 year old was so embarrassed that this "geezer" had kicked the shit out of him he didn't want to press charges and begged the police to just let him go on his way...

that made for many funny family events that year...

16. something similar happened with my granddad

a young hot headed guy started coming at granddad like he was going to hit him after a minor bumper tap incident, so my granddad hit the guy once and broke his nose. The guy was shocked and yelled, "you broke my nose, old man!" jumped in his car and left, probably embarrassed.
