Question about Realtor

the knuckle-dragger next door has put his house up for sale... (YAAAAHHHH!!!!)

he's using a Century-21 realtor.

I remember seeing commercials for Century 21 years ago that said if they don't sell your home in "x" amount of time they would buy it from you.

Do they still do that? and if so does anyone know how it really works? (fine print and all)

knuckle-dragger has 4 kids, 3 of which are in elementry school - we are assuming they want to sell and get settled somewhere else before September. We know he's anxious to sell - we heard him blathering to a buddy about how much he hates it "up here" and how much better it will be to live "down there"

The entire neighborhood is drooling in anticipation of seeing a "sold" or "sale pending" placard go up

I don't think they do that anymore but when they did it required a ONE YEAR sales contract and an agreement to make all the changes to the property recommended by the agent before the for sale sign could go up.

we were hoping it would apply to the knuckle-dragger...

as far as we have been able to observe, there's only been two families looking at the house since it went up for sale last month...

3. It may take time but it will sell.

If it take long enough the knuckle dragger will lower his price and add incentives to bring in the buyers. Every house sells eventually. :)
